RULES AND REGULATIONS

  1. Show is open to any Youth 18 or under. Membership as a Cloverbud, 4H, or FFA member is encouraged.

  2. Obtain entry forms from catalog, Extension Office, or www.cmrfarmshow.com and return completed with fee by the livestock entry deadline. Late entries will be accepted up until July 6th in person at the Rabbit & Poultry barn between 5 and 7 pm. THERE WILL BE NO DAY OF SHOW ENTRIES!

  3. Rabbit & Cavy Department entries limited to 20 per exhibitor.

  4. Rabbits/Cavies will be checked in Friday July 8th, from 6pm-8pm. Animals are entered at owner’s risk. Leaders have the right to refuse animals deemed unfit to show. Sick animals will not be allowed in showroom. Animals will be released on Sunday July 10 between 5-6pm unless severe weather conditions warrant leaving earlier. Please bring your own water bottle or crock and food.

  5. We will have classes for all breeds. If your breed is not listed, please contact a leader to have it added. No rabbit/cavy under 3 months, pregnant, or with litter will be shown. Rabbit Classes will be divided by breed, sex, and age. S (Seniors) = rabbits 6 months of age or over. J (Juniors) = rabbits 3 to 6 months of age. B (Bucks) = males, and D (Does) = females. Cavy Classes S (Sow) = females and B(boar) = males.

  6. All purebred classes will be judged by the American Rabbit Breeders Standard of Perfection, leniently.

  7. Judging will be 9:30 am Saturday beginning with Rabbit then Cavy Showmanship. ALL EXHIBITORS are encouraged to participate in Showmanship.

  8. Entry fee: $1 per rabbit OR cavy exhibited. There are no day of show entries. Entries will be accepted on Friday night before the show for $2.00 per rabbit or cavy. No entry fee for Cloverbuds. Cloverbuds cannot win premiums. Premiums are as follows: Showmanship Classes 1st - $12, 2nd - $10, 3rd - $8, 4th - $6, 5th - $4, 6th - $2, and all other classes 1st - $2.00, 2nd - $1.50, 3rd - $1.00, 4th - .50, 5th and 6th ribbons. All rabbits and cavy should be identified by tattoo or permanent mark in left ear.

PLEASE NOTE
This year’s Rabbit and Cavy Show is a 3 day show.
 Animals are to arrive between 6pm and 8pm on Friday July 8, 2011,
And are to leave between 5pm and 6pm on Sunday July 10, 2011.
 We assume no responsibility for animals left after 6 pm on Sunday July 10, 2011.
Owners are responsible for care and feeding of animals during the show period.
Barn will be locked after show hours each day.
